HungaryGames is an online, location-based adventure game you can enjoy outdoors, at your own pace – like an exploratory walk, enriched with playful puzzles. The goal: to discover Hungary’s hidden gems while solving fun and thought-provoking tasks – solo or with friends.

Our games take place in various locations across Hungary – from parks to lesser-known but unique spots. Every game includes a clear map and a starting point so you’ll always know where to begin.

Everyone! Our games are perfect for families, couples on a date, groups of friends, or solo adventurers. People of all ages can enjoy the experience.
📱 What do I need to play?
Just a smartphone, mobile internet, and a bit of curiosity. No app downloads needed – everything runs in your browser. One game code works across multiple devices, and all players will see the same progress thanks to automatic synchronization.
⏱️ Is there a time limit?
Nope! The games are entirely flexible – you can finish them in one walk or spread them over several days. After purchase, your game code remains valid and playable for six months.
🧩 What if we get stuck?
Don’t worry – you can’t get stuck permanently! Every task comes with multiple hint levels. After the third hint, you’ll receive the solution – but we encourage you to try first on your own, because solving it yourself is where the real fun lies!
⭐ Why collect stars?
You earn stars for every correctly solved task. If you make a mistake or request help, you’ll get fewer stars. At the end of the game, enthusiastic star collectors might even unlock a small surprise.
🐌 Do I need to hurry during the game?
Not at all! This isn’t a race. Take your time between tasks – explore, relax, try local food. We even recommend hidden gems, benches, viewpoints, and nearby cafés – so every minute becomes part of the adventure.
📊 I want more challenge – can I compete?
For competitive players, we offer a special game mode: the Hard Mode. Before starting the game, you can choose between the relaxed Standard Mode (with hints) or the challenging Hard Mode – with no hints, a time recommendation per task, and automatic star deductions. Important: your choice is final once the game begins.
⌛ What is “recommended time” in Hard Mode?
It’s the suggested time frame to solve a task. If you go over it, the game doesn’t stop – but you’ll automatically earn fewer stars, just like when answering incorrectly. Naturally, mistakes also reduce your star count.
🏆 Is there a leaderboard?
Yes! Players in Hard Mode are automatically added to our leaderboard under the team name they choose at the start. Scores are based on task performance and time efficiency. The top 10 teams are displayed publicly.
